Board President - Jen Palmer and her family moved to Oregon in 2010 from Central California. Since moving here they have been very active in Warrenton sports as their two boys play basketball, baseball, soccer and football. Jen is the "team mom" and her husband coaches or assistant coaches each sport. After watching from the sidelines for many years, Jen wanted to be more involved in shaping Warrenton's sports programs so she joined the WKI board in the fall of 2017. She is WKI's current President and is on the basketball committee. Her long-term goals for WKI are to make sports free to all participants, encourage the development of tournament teams and to recruit more parents to be involved with WKI.
Board Treasurer - Rickki Jo Parris is employed full time as a Log Accountant for Astoria Forest Products. She is also a board member of Clatsop Community Action and VP of Resource Development for Assistance League of the Columbia Pacific. Her daughter Kimber attends Warrenton Grade School and is an active participant in WKI sports.
Board Secretary - Debbie Little retired September 2017 after 30 years working for the State of Oregon Judicial Department. She is an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary serving as the Auxiliary President for Fort Stevens 10580, District 2 President and Department Guard at the State level. Debbie has several grandchildren and nieces who actively participate in recreation programs offered to our kids by WKI.
Board Member - Tabbitha McGrorty born and raised in Astoria, married and moved to Warrenton in 2006. She has two boys in the youth sports system currently and a daughter who will hopefully follow. Sports taught Tabbitha a very valuable lesson at a very young age. She learned to work hard and have expectations of herself. To make goals and push through the struggles to achieve them. Learning to work with teammates and coaches while sometimes can be difficult it prepares you for the workplace and success in your future career. Tabbitha started with WKI because she wanted to know what was going on, why decisions were made and what avenues could be taken to grow the program. She has been a part of WKI four years and is excited to see what the next couple of years look like in our youth programs. She is currently the Committee Chair for fundraising . Her goals are big and she is not afraid to reach out to the community to better our programs and get all kids active in something. Sports and extra curricular activities are so important to our youth. It is important for them to have something to love and thrive at. To be able to offer these things to all our kids at no cost is a huge dream and a goal we on the board of WKI are all working toward.
Board Member - Adam Neahring is a proud husband, father of 3 boys, graduate of Oregon State University's CEM Program and a graduate of Warrenton High School. He currently works as a Project Manager and Estimator for a local Marine and Heavy Civil Construction Company. As a 25 year resident of the Warrenton-Hammond area Adam has learned to love the local outdoors through fishing, hunting and camping with his family. With kids and many relatives in the area, Adam enjoys volunteering with the youth athletics and looks forward to continually improving the local programs for both of his kids and other kids in the community.
Board Member - John Duncan has been an Active Duty member with the US Coast Guard for the past 16 years. John has been actively coaching through WKI for 5 years. John is a loving father of 7 kids and is married to Brooke Duncan. John is planning on retiring in Warrenton with the US Coast Guard.
